Rare Native Silver In Cobaltite Gemstone Cabochon Hand Crafted by Lexx Stones 59 Carats

$100.00

Here for your consideration is a stunning Native Silver In Cobaltite cabochon. This rare and unusual material exhibits shimmering metallic gloss throughout it's structure. It is quite sought after due to it's high (up to 70%) Silver content. Originally mined for about 30 years at the turn of the last century, this specific material was shipped to Germany during WWII and recently acquired in a very small amount here in the US. Good specimens of rich silver ore like this are now very hard to find, because the dumps were re-mined then covered with 6 feet of dirt. This weighty cabochon is a prime example of what rich silver ore looks like, right out of the mine. It's brilliant, cool and definitely something to brag about in your heirloom collectibles.
Lustery reflective polish front and back. Standard radius dome.

All photos taken outdoors under natural daylight.
