This gorgeous, mossy cryptocrystalline form of silica has become a new favorite in the lapidary community and coveted for it's Chromium rich vibrant translucency. Chrome chalcedony disappeared from use sometime in the 2nd century. It was only rediscovered when the Zimbabwean deposits were found in the 1950s and later named "Mtorolite". Wonderful crystal druzy inclusions interspersed through varying semi translucent green sprays. Delicious druzy pockets. Watery, vitreous polish front and back.
