Here for your consideration is a stunning Bytownite gemstone cabochon. This gem is also known as Mexican Sunstone. This somewhat scarce feldspar gemstone exhibits remarkable shimmering champagne schiller tones throughout, even on the back when it's inverted. This gem was originally discovered in Bytown Canada, (which is now present day Ottowa) by Dr. Andrew Fernando Holmes, a Spanish-Canadian physician, chemist, botanist, and mineralogist.
