Originally, Hetian jade referred specifically to jade from Hetian, Xinjiang. Any nephrite with tremolite as its main mineral (over 98%) is called Hetian jade. Hetian jade can also be referred to as nephrite jade. Among all jades in the world, pure white Hetian jade is considered among the most valuable.
