Here for your consideration is a beautiful, natural deep, deep blue Lapis Lazuli gemstone cabochon. This is high quality, exceedingly scarce Lapis from the Madun 4 (#4) mine which usually has super duper blue, sometimes near purple and almost little to no Calcite inclusion. This metamorphic rock consisting largely of lazurite, exhibits consistent natural deep Royal Blue throughout with tiny flashy Pyrite specs. A lovely collectible piece, great for bezel setting, or a dynamic wire wrap pendant. These Lapis mines are the oldest in the world.
This piece is finished with a polish front and back, although the material is often seen with a matte finish. Standard Radius Dome. If you love DEEP and blue, this is for you!
Photographed dry under natural full spectrum LEDs. Hand cut and polished by Lexx.
