Variquoise is a highly valued combination of turquoise and variscite along with several obscure accessory minerals which make it extremely rare. This particular variety of variquoise is from material collected many years ago from Snowville, Utah and has recently become very popular as a premium item in the turquoise market. The variation of blue/green/aqua with smoky gray/black accent make it a fabulous stone to work with and makes for exciting finished jewelry pieces. It also takes a wicked shine!
These colors are natural and this stone is NOT dyed. This cabochon is not a composite and not backed, glued or stabilized- it is 100% Utah Variquoise/Variscite.
